I downloaded a free app from the app store (in my case Android ) called "Fields Area Measure" works well for me. It is google maps based, free and seems pretty accurate. I have been using a hand held Garmin GPS, works well but I don't always have it with me. Seems to work great to measure fields and have even used it to measure how far I walked down a beach in Florida while on vacation. I think their servers are undersized for the amount of traffic it receives. If I need to work on it after lunch, you might as well forget it. I can get on at 7 am (eastern ) and it works great. The earlier in the day that you work within that website, the better. It also gives you how many acres of each soil type you have in a field. ![]() You can select what units it is measured in. You pull up a satellite image on the map and then add you points around the perimeter and that's it. Is there a reliable app for measuring fields in acreage?
